The three other women in my weekly mother's group all had their third children in the past year and a half. (I'm the last holdout with two!) I get to see these babies every week, and the time spent with them can be as therapeutic as the time venting to their moms. I love each of them so much. So, you know me... I just had to make dolls for, and inspired by, each of these littlest friends.
This one is for Mr. Izzo, a super-adorable, self-assured little guy, with giant brown eyes and the best, room-lighting-up smile. This boy's got presence. I had the great privilege of being present at Izzo's birth, and we've been best buddies ever since.
This one is for Iris, the most lovingest, rosy little sweetheart girl, with golden, light brown hair and blue eyes. Iris is such a joy to be around, I always leave her company feeling completely blessed.
And this one is for Niamh: curious, sparkly, kindred little Niamh (pronounced "neeve"), with her platinum hair and gray-blue eyes. Niamh fascinates me; I can't wait to see who she grows up to be.
Just as with the real-life babies, these dolls are plenty sweet enough individually, but the sight of them all together just about kills me with charm. I am easily pleased.
Instead of using wrapping paper, I gave the dolls to the babies in these paper lunch bags that I illustrated, which I love as a cute and easy wrapping method.
